Fabrication - Frames - Back

The series 1000 and 2000 frames are made from an aluminum extrusion for maximum quality. The same frame made from steel or stainless steel is a welded construction using standard shapes available on the market. The aluminum frame can be fitted with a leaf fabricated with any material. A plant applied bituminous overlay shall prevent chemical reactions between the concrete and aluminum.

The PRETAL 1000 series frame is designed to be cast in concrete. This lightweight non-drainable frame is normally installed indoors or where draining is not required. This frame can accept series 050 and 125 leaves.

The PRETAL 2000 series frame is designed to be cast in concrete. This frame must be drained and is normally installed where draining is possible and required. This frame can accept series 050, 125 and 250 leaves.

The PRETAL 3000 series frame is designed for surface mounting. It is typically used for roof doors and drinking water reservoir. This frame accepts only series 015 and 020 leaves.
